P5
Final Poster
Process
This is the unedited image.
I changed the levels on the base image, making the shadows darker.
I then edited the curves to make the image very colourful.
I changed the brightness and contrast to be higher to make the colours brighter.
I then posterized the picture to make the tones of the colours bolder.
I added my first version of my title to the poster. The font was from Dafont
I added the release date and the credit block. Both fonts were downloaded from Dafont
I inserted the font from DaFont and then used the transform tool to skew the image. I then used a gradient over the top of the font and changed the colour of it to make it psychedelic.
I changed the font originally used to the same font as the one used for the actors name. I also skewed the image to make it curve around the other fonts and the end of the tunnel.
I made a box with a couple of bands who's music I would put in the film, finishing off the poster.
My initial idea for my poster was that I would change the colour of the sky through the tunnel to make it all psychedelic, However I ended up making the tunnel around the model colourful instead. this was due to psychedelic effect not coming across enough from the poster. Having all of the colours in the tunnel suggests that the character is in his drug state and also is bolder and eye catching. I originally wanted to have my guitar and some bottles of beer around the character to enforce the fact that the person is a rockstar, however taking my guitar into collage would have been a lot of hassle as it is a big thing to carry and i might have risked braking it. Getting some bottles of beer would also have been an issue as I am 17 and the model is only 16. I originally wanted to have a female model in the poster as well but I was unable to get one. The positioning of the model in the photo was not what I originally intended for my original idea as I would have preferred them to be more lying down however the floor was quite dirty so sitting up was a better option.
